How you make our customers happy?

Bol is changing retail to make daily life simpler for 13 million customers. A mission we take on with 49,000 partners that enrich our retail tech platform with unique propositions. Combined, we now offer 38 million articles. But while we’re happy to provide customers with plenty of window shopping opportunities, ‘shop and/or data lifters’ need to be banned. Our SecOps team of hackers, defenders and problem-solvers makes sure they are, so customers, partners and business stakeholders can shop (and sleep) safely.

The biggest challenge

Bol is ever-evolving, and innovating our retail tech platform is a core activity. As SecOps we don’t want to roadblock innovations. That is, if we don’t have to. We’re sad when we do, but optimistic that it’s rarely necessary. We also want to enable teams to take full security ownership of their products. We monitor, scan, hack and sometimes block to ensure the speeding bol train doesn’t go off the rails. Our customers and partners expect nothing less!

What you do as Security Lead

As a Security Lead, you’re one of the captains of the SecOps ship—leading security initiatives, keeping stakeholders in the loop, and tackling operational security challenges head-on. Your mission? Turn security risks into action plans, align efforts across teams, and make sure our security game is always a step ahead of the threats.

You’ll team up with engineers, IT pros, and leadership to prioritize security projects, cut through the noise, and transform complex security puzzles into clear, doable tasks. Whether it’s fine-tuning incident response, leveling up security automation, or making cross-team collaboration smoother than ever, you’ll be the glue that holds it all together.

Here’s what makes you a strong candidate:

• 3+ years of experience in security project management or security operations leadership
• A track record of managing security projects, coordinating incident response, and working with cross-functional teams
• Strong stakeholder management skills to ensure security goals align with business needs
• A structured approach to problem-solving—breaking big security challenges into bite-sized, achievable steps
• Excellent communication skills, translating security risks into real business impact
