Job Summary

As Internal Communications & Engagement Manager, you provide communications expertise to GKN Aerospace in the Netherlands, working autonomously to develop, deliver and manage key communications internally, plan and execute culture change activities and to ensure global compliance of GKN Aerospace communications policies. This role reports to the HR Country Director.

Job Responsibilities

• Develop, deliver and manage internal communications in relation to key strategic activities, in order to support the business and meeting its mission and priorities

• Work in and be part of our HR Team Netherlands and liaising with the external communications director in delivering practical communications activities that support our strategic objectives, translated to the Dutch context and needs of the business.

• Lead and manage key communications activities in The Netherlands, including (but not limited to):
o Optimise the intranet and develop an HR portal; o Support business updates and internal communication regarding people related topics and impactful projects such as HR transformation in processes and systems o Provide support and lead Engagement and Pulse calendar (Engagement and culture) o Create an internal Employee Value Proposition (EVP) for employees that ensures a look & feel and embracing our company culture (vlogs, Employee Resource Groups, Diversity & Inclusion, vitality calendar, social events, newsletter, etc).

Job Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in a communications, marketing, business or a related field.
• Demonstrable years of experience working in internal (marketing) communications, employer branding, or a related field within a corporate organization. • Strong in both written and verbal communication in Dutch and English. • Experience in developing and managing internal communication channels (like intranet, newsletters, or employee meetings) or supporting/leading communication strategies. • A creative and innovative flair for content creation and campaign design. • Fervent about the art of communications and its impact for an organization. • Ability to deal with multiple projects and demonstrate effective oversight with a hands-on mentality. • Operate independently and like to take initiative with a clear end-goal in mind. • Excellent communication and presentation skills. • Self-starter with strong interpersonal skills, the ability to take initiative, and a result-driven mindset.
