PUSH LIMITS HBO/WO
Aeronamic is an innovative company at the forefront of manufacturing highly complex turbomachinery, engine-driven systems, and critical systems for the commercial and military aviation industry. In addition, Aeronamic is pioneering sustainable aviation by developing electric compressors for various aerospace applications at its R&D centre at Technology Base in Enschede.
Since October 2023, Aeronamic’s Product Development team has been based at Technology Base in Enschede in a former F16 shelter. The shelter has been converted into an office and test site for its innovative e-compressor developments. This move gives Aeronamic the space to further develop its high-speed e-compressors and thus contribute to making aviation more sustainable.
Due to growth and further professionalisation of Aeronamic’s Product Development team, we are looking for an Electronics Design Engineer for the Product Development department. The Product Development department currently has 20 colleagues, and you will be part of the multicultural Electric Drives team consisting of 5 professionals. In your daily work, you will mainly be involved in designing, developing, and testing printed circuit boards (PCBs). You will work closely together with fellow engineers with expertise in, for example, motor, compressor, and firmware development in order to achieve groundbreaking solutions. As an ambitious high-tech organisation, Aeronamic is also committed to sustainability.
The Electronics Design Engineer within Aeronamic in Enschede is jointly responsible for the entire design, development, and test cycle of the drive of high-speed electric compressors. The compressors are used for aerospace and industrial applications. You also assist in developing the documentation required for obtaining certifications.
You will participate in R&D activities to further improve the performance of the inverters (SiC technology, high-performance sensor-less control techniques, optimisation techniques, etc.) and assist in facilitating the production of the inverters and provide support, both to customers and internally.
You will be thinking along in optimising existing processes and procedures. You will report to the Lead Engineer Electric Drives.
This position is ideally suited for an Electronics Design Engineer who feels comfortable in a dynamic international project organisation and would like to work with innovative machines and develop themselves further.
With your expertise, you make an important contribution within the development team.
