Then apply now and become our new Product Design & Development Intern at the Research and Innovation Centre in Utrecht, starting July/August 2025!

As our new Product Design & Development intern, you will be joining Danone's global Specialized Nutrition team based in our Research and Innovation centre in Utrecht. This team focusses on the Specialized Nutrition (SN) product category and is passionate about delivering the best possible products to parents, patients and Healthcare Professionals.

You will be part of the Specialized Paediatrics team, where you will be involved in research to deliver insights on the product performance and user experience of our products in the specialized nutrition category. This is an international team full of passionate people who are eager to guide you through this internship to achieve your career goals as well as deliver great results together.

Your main responsibilities include:

• Optimizing and implementing methods to characterize physical properties of specialized nutrition products.
• Applying those methods to characterize the products in the specialized nutrition portfolio.
• Applying and comparing on-pack preparation instructions.
• Correlating different data sets to extract relevant insights.
• Translating product insights into business recommendations and communicate these to different stakeholders.
• Bringing a consumer centric and analytical mindset into the projects and teams.

About you

• You are currently a Master student pursuing a degree in Food Technology, Food Science or a similar field.
• You enjoy working in a laboratory environment
• Excellent communication skills
• You know your way around data analysis in Microsoft Excel
• Proactive and enthusiastic
• You can work autonomously while being a valuable team member

As a Product Design & Development Intern, conducting laboratory experiments will be second nature to you. You can analyze and value data and have an eye for detail. On top of that? You’re a scientific thinker who’s always looking for opportunities to learn and develop.

There are also some compulsory requirements:

• Enrolled as a Masters student during the whole internship period;
• You are a resident of the Netherlands and hold a valid BSN number (if you are a non-EU citizen, you need to have a valid Dutch residency permit);
• Ideally available to start in July/August 2025 for a minimum of 6 months, 5 days per week;
• You are fluent in English
• You are able to work from our Utrecht office, at least 4-5 days per week.
