Introduction

ASML is an innovation leader in the semiconductor industry. We provide microchip makers with everything they need – hardware, software, and services – to mass produce patterns on silicon through lithography. The IT Infra engineering team develops, improves, and maintains the development environment for IT engineers within business line applications within ASML. The team you will take place in mostly focuses on Infra, using VMware and Kubernetes.

Your assignment

As an intern supporting the infra engineering team, you will collaborate with application engineers, focusing on the implementation and maintenance of technical solutions that address customer needs. Your role will involve contributing to developments, implementation, and maintenance of technical solutions.

Key deliverables include:

  • Participate in code reviews to ensure quality and adherence to best practices;
  • Support the implementation of automation scripts to streamline IT processes;
  • Conduct research on emerging technologies to support innovation;
  • Document technical procedures and create user guides for Infra products;
  • Engage in continuous learning to stay updated with industry trends and tools;
  • Provide technical support and training to end-users.

This is an apprentice internship for a minimum of 6 months up to 12, at least 4/5 days per week (3 days on-site). The start date of this internship is as soon as possible.

Your profile

To be a perfect fit for this assignment, you:

  • Have a background in IT, applications engineer, information technology, computer science, or a related study;
  • Have a background/knowledge in LINUX and Kubernetes;
  • Have a plus if you have knowledge on VMware, Computer networks, NetApp storage;
  • Are fluent in English (written and verbal);
  • Have an internal drive for efficiency and are able to work disciplined and accurate;
  • Are pragmatic, pro-active, ‘self-propelling’ way of working and able to operate in a dynamic environment.

Other requirements you need to meet
