The Regional Procurement Specialist

About the Role:
The Regional Procurement Specialist will be responsible for managing procurement activities within a specific region in Europe. You will ensure that all procurement activities are aligned with company policies and regulatory requirements while meeting the specific needs of the regional market. Your role will involve developing and maintaining relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring the efficient execution of procurement processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Procurement Process Management:
  • Design, implement, and optimize procurement processes for the region, including demand collection, supplier selection, contract management, and performance evaluation.
  • Ensure compliance with headquarters' policies and local regulations while adapting to the unique demands of the regional market.
  • Identify and develop high-quality suppliers within the region.
  • Conduct supplier audits, negotiate contracts, and manage ongoing supplier relationships.
  • Monitor supplier performance and ensure continuous improvement in service delivery.
  • Lead contract negotiations and manage contract execution to ensure favorable terms and conditions for the company.
  • Handle contract changes and disputes, ensuring smooth contract fulfillment.
  • Execute procurement activities, including supplier selection, price comparison, order management, and service quality assessment.
  • Optimize procurement costs and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to regional procurement activities.
  • Conduct spend analysis and provide insights to support decision-making.

Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of experience in procurement, preferably in a regional or multi-site role.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Fluent in English; knowledge of other European languages is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel) and experience with procurement platforms.

It is also in partnership with Alexander Dennis in the UK which assembles jointly developed buses for the UK market.
