Business Planning Analyst

Overview

The role will develop in-depth knowledge and reporting of Key account data, market dynamics, and demand drivers across ROW (EMEA +LATAM+INDIA) to define cohesive business plans to achieve short and long-term objectives. Additionally, ensuring seamless data alignment among departments is a key responsibility. This individual contributor role is highly analytical and requires the ability to collaborate and communicate with a diverse group of team members.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong analytical mindset, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and a deep understanding of data managing techniques. The ideal candidate will have the opportunity to utilize your skills in quantitative analysis, project management, thought leadership, and problem-solving to define programmatic solutions to support demand generation and sales process efficiencies.

What You'll Do

Sales Analysis

  • Analyze and harmonize sales data from various channels (wholesale, retail, e-commerce) to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities.
  • Monitor sell-in and sell-out performance across different product categories and sales channels.
  • Review and calculate monthly consumption between actual and plan.
  • Generate insights to support sales forecasting and advise changes/opportunities to KA planners and Sales team.

Reporting and Visualization

  • Utilize data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI) to present complex data in a clear and actionable manner.
  • Continuously improve reporting processes and data visualization techniques to enhance decision-making capabilities.
  • Project: Build and maintain a new sell-out database. This includes validating data sources (internal and external).

Pre-Order performance review

  • Evaluate pre-order data to assess demand forecasts.
  • Prepare regular reports and dashboards to communicate key performance metrics, insights, and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Produce Key Account reporting including Sell in, Sell through, Inventory on hand, etc.

Inventory Policy Review and optimization.

  • Conduct thorough analysis on applied inventory policies.
  • Develop and implement, in collaboration with demand planning team, inventory policies to optimize stock levels while minimizing excess inventory and stockouts.

What You'll Bring to the Table

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Business Administration, or related field. Master's degree preferred. Exception possible for highly extensive and relevant work experience.
  • 3+ years as either an analyst or planner.
  • Confirmed experience in data analysis, preferably in the retail or consumer goods industry. Understanding of Demand, Supply, and other S&OP / IBP principals.
  • Strong analytical capabilities skills with the ability to interpret data, draw conclusions, and make actionable recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey complex ideas to non-technical partners.
  • Strong interpersonal skills proven in a highly collaborative setting.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or QlikView.
  • Meticulous with a focus on accuracy and precision.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Minimal travel likely, <10%
