Treasury Team Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Treasury Team Lead to join our dynamic finance team at Hunkemoller. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5+ years of experience in treasury management, with a proven track record of optimizing cash flow, managing liquidity, and developing financial strategies that support our business objectives.

YOUR TASKS

Key Responsibilities:

• Cash Management: Oversee daily cash management activities, including cash positioning, forecasting, and reporting. Ensure adequate liquidity to meet operational needs.
• Investment Strategy: Develop and implement investment strategies for surplus cash, balancing risk and return in alignment with corporate policies.
• Debt Management: Manage the organization’s debt portfolio, including negotiating terms with lenders, monitoring covenants, and ensuring compliance with debt agreements.
• Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial risks related to currency fluctuations, interest rates, and credit exposures. Implement hedging strategies as necessary.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare and present treasury reports to senior management, providing insights into cash flow trends, liquidity positions, and investment performance.
• Policy Development: Establish and enforce treasury policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
• Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of treasury professionals, fostering a collaborative environment focused on continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; Master’s degree or professional certification (CTP, CFA) is a plus.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in treasury management or related financial roles within the retail sector or similar industries.
• Strong understanding of cash management techniques, financial instruments, and risk management strategies.
• Proficient in treasury management systems and financial modelling tools
• Apply advanced Excel skills, including Power Query, Macros, and other complex functions
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and make informed decisions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners.
• Dutch & English proficiency is a must; German is a plus.
• A proactive and solutions-driven mindset, with a focus on continuous improvement
