ABN AMRO Hypotheken Groep (AAHG) is expanding its 2nd line Risk Management organization. The AAHG Risk Management organization consists of three teams: Credit Risk, Information & Operational Risk (I&ORM) and the Risk Office. Together, as Entity Risk Type Owners (ERTO), we are responsible for risk control and risk oversight for all risks within AAHG. Risk Office is looking for a senior risk manager to join the team. Can you navigate through complex changes, manage a large field of stakeholders in both 1st line and 2nd line and provide a holistic view on risks that matter? If so, you might be the senior risk manager we are looking for.
The organization is currently facing increasing regulatory expectations. As such, the workload has become higher and more expertise is required to maintain the overall risk and control framework. Risk Office is responsible for risk control and risk oversight for a number of risk types within the Risk Taxonomy, such as sustainability risk, business risk and reputational risk. Also, Risk Office provides the Managing Board of AAHG and senior management of ABN AMRO with an integrated, holistic view on the most material risks within AAHG. As such, Risk Office plays an important role in keeping AAHG within the limits of the risk appetite. Furthermore, as owner of the AAHG Risk Governance Charter, Risk Office assures that AAHG acts within its mandate.
Your responsibilities:
ABN AMRO Hypotheken Groep is a 100% subsidiary of ABN AMRO BANK N.V. and operates with its own bank license. As the mortgage entity of ABN AMRO, AAHG is responsible for a substantial part of the bank's balance sheet and manages a portfolio worth approximately € 155 billion. AAHG has around 750,000 customers, that depend on us for receiving suitable mortgage services. AAHG is located in Amersfoort and employs approximately 1300 dedicated professionals. AAHG has a sole focus on residential real estate in the Netherlands. The main language used within the organization is Dutch but, due to the nature of our work, English writing skills are required. • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in risk management within the Business, Credit Risk and/or Central Risk Management, preferably in a retail lending environment.
• Bachelor's or Master’s degree.• Broad knowledge of different risk types, able to provide an integrated/holistic risk vision.• Affinity with risk management, both from prudential supervisory and conduct supervisory viewpoint.• Knowledge of mortgages and Sustainability Risk is preferred.• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Dutch and English.• Capable of conveying risk-related information clearly to senior management and risk committees.
• The gross monthly salary displayed above is based on a 36-hour work week, including vacation pay and benefit budget.
• The Benefit Budget is 11% of your salary. The Benefit Budget allows you to acquire additional employment benefits. If you make no purchases or reservations in the Benefit Shop in a given month, you are paid one twelfth of your Benefit Budget that month.• Five weeks of vacation per year. You have the option to purchase an additional four weeks per year.• Personal development Budget of € 1,000 per year, which you can accumulate up to € 3,000.• Possibility to work from home (in consultation with your team and depending on your position).• An annual public transport pass with free public transportation throughout the Netherlands.• An excellent pension scheme.
