As a business developer Product Strategy you will be responsible for a competitive product portfolio fitting client needs in NW EU with a 5 year horizon. By analysing & monitoring internal and external developments and translating them into a strategic long term vision. Together with highly engaged colleagues in the Product Strategy team you manage all developments, projects and programs to deliver on high quality and compliant products supporting CB (sustainability transition) strategy. Specifically you’ll focus on client journeys, data driven product, digitisation and coordination. You have experience working directly with credits or in the credit product domain. You like to work in a highly demanding environment that delivers on strong product & strategy capabilities for both short and long term horizon. You will report to the Head of Product & Business Development (member MT FS).

Note: direct experience in corporate lending or credit risk is necessary for this role.

Your job

As business developer Product Strategy you

  • Design/build growth strategy plans for FS and segments with strong focus on sustainability transition
  • Design/build a strategy based on data, RoE and digitisation of product and client journeys;
  • Coordinate with local Product Management in countries and subsidiaries;
  • Change, understand and implement relevant changes (regulatory, commercial) to products together with Regulatory Centre of Expertise, Lending Transformation, and (lending) sales teams
  • You will have a strong cooperation with many stakeholders across CB, BC&E and WM both at segment- and product side and in both 1st and 2nd line

Working environment

Financing Solutions (FS) is the Credit Engine of ABN AMRO, providing clients from all client segments with the best suited credit solution. Product & Business Development (P&BD) consists of four departments; Product Strategy, Product Management, Regulatory Centre of Expertise and Control & Reporting. A big challenge and journey to support the Sustainability shift, and develop a competitive and compliant data driven product offering.

Your profile

Relevant 5-10 years relevant work experience in corporate credit products, data and client domain

  • Prerequisite: experience of corporate lending & clients; understands both 1st and 2nd line. Academic degree or comparable education. Applications without direct experience in corporate lending (e.g. relationship manager, lender, credit decisioning, credit risk) will not be considered.
  • Has experience with relevant regulation, risk & finance management and credit chain
  • Is hands-on with a result-oriented attitude and has a strong-self starting- drive
  • Thrives in a complex and demanding environment, no matter what you’ll find your way and dare to challenge, and experience with large (international) stakeholder field
  • Out-of-the-box mentality and creative thinking, outside-in view combined with sustainability transition drive
