Your role:

We are in business to save our home planet. This interim role will contribute to this by managing the EMEA team and output for marketplace experience design, digital design, brand & impact design, 3D design and visual merchandise, in alignment with the go to market (GTM) process for product, enviro and brand marketing.

You will work in close partnership with Patagonia’s global design team, wider brand marketing team, the product & marketing operations manager and external partners to deliver the highest standards of visual design, merchandise and production within timelines and following global brand guidelines.

Main tasks:

  • Lead team of four designers and one visual merchandising manager to ensure positive skills-based and personal development

  • Manage all aspects of GTM design in support of brand, enviro, ecommerce and wholesale campaigns

  • Manage all aspects of design in support of the implementation of branded physical spaces including retail stores, offices and showrooms

  • Manage external creative partners and design / production output in collaboration with operations team

  • Partner with product & marketing operations manager on design requests from the broader organization

  • Guarantee the respect of adherence to global guidelines and quality of execution. Ensure review of all creative, across all channels

  • Manage functional budgets

  • In partnership with operations team, manage fixture production, inventory and storage, as required

What we’re looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree in fine arts, graphic design or architecture

  • 8+ years professional experience in graphic design and studio management

  • Proven experience in managing a team successfully

  • Adobe creative suite proficiency (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)

  • Fluent in English; other languages a plus

  • Strong creativity and a keen attention to details

  • Well organized; can manage multiple initiatives simultaneously; deadline oriented

  • Ability to challenge the status quo and bring creative ideas to the table

  • Flexible team player; can anticipate and adapt to change
