Join us as a Maintenance Manager in Zaandam. You will play a crucial role in overseeing maintenance activities to achieve maximum output capacity, enhance plant efficiency, minimize operational costs, and be a part of the leadership team in the manufacturing plant.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing and maintaining a program for site improvements, introduction of new technology, and maintenance plans to ensure work is completed to a high standard in accordance with customer and project objectives.
  • Managing the work order system and preventive and predictive maintenance plans for production as well as utilities, monitoring equipment performance, and improving efficiency.
  • Ensuring the quality of spare parts and services purchased, managing suppliers' and contractors' performance, and ensuring compliance with safety and site procedures.
  • Participating in maintenance and capital budget preparation and cost expenditure forecasts, reviewing expenditure regularly to assure appropriate spending levels.
  • Maximizing plant availability through the implementation of reliability principles and optimal asset management, and maintaining optimal manning levels.
  • Responsible for preparing and leading maintenance stops.
  • Coaching and developing employees to effectively practice Performance Based Management and ensure alignment with matrix functions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or university degree preferred, with a focus on electrotechnical or mechanical disciplines desired.
  • Minimum of five to eight years' experience in a maintenance or engineering role in a manufacturing environment, including three years of supervisory experience.
  • Familiarity with safety procedures such as confined space entry, lockout/tagout, and hot work permitting.
  • Knowledge of Process Safety Management and relevant standards such as NEN 1010 and NEN 3140.
  • Strong leadership skills for implementing and driving Maintenance Management Improvements (MMP).
  • Analytical and data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  • Leadership team-level operating capabilities.
  • Knowledge of Reliability Centered Maintenance principles.
  • Proven ability to manage and develop budgets effectively.
  • Understanding of engineering standards, specifications, and environmental awareness.
  • Proficiency in Dutch and English, both written and spoken.
