Business Strategy /Vision

• Creating the strategic vision for the category in a complex and dynamic internal and external environment.
• Global owner of the Category, this role oversees the entire Danone spend of ingredients – Oils & Fats impacting Danone worldwide in the divisions EDP (Dairy & Plant Based) and Specialised Nutrition.
• Global owner of key Supplier x-category relationships, driving the Danone/Supplier agenda across those categories.
• Total spend is around 340MmE, 80mE for EDP, 260mE for SN
• The Senior Buyer Oils & Fats EU reports directly into this role.

Impact on Business Results

• Significant impact COGS reduction, top line growth and service level and risk management.

Process & Projects

• Continuously develop and deploy the Categories Strategy
• Drive the implementation of Category Strategy, delivering Growth, Efficiency, Sustainability, Supply Security & Quality
• Play a key role in developing and executing risk management strategies for Oils, primarily hedging.
• (Co)Develop Joint Business Development Plans and Partnerships with selected Partners, and lead the implementation.
• Lead Danone Impact Journey for Oils & Fats co-building with internal stakeholders and partners the roadmap to implement Danone sustainability commitments.
• Lead the operational execution of the projects and contracts
• First point of escalation for service, business continuity, and crisis management for the respective categories.

• Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
• Organization and planning abilities, capability to control a large number of concurrent variables and activities accurately and consistently.
• Equally comfortable with strategy building and zooming into details
• Understanding of sustainability and driving impact through sourcing.

Education and experience:

• Education: Masters degree in business related field or commensurate experience
• Minimum 10+ years experience in Procurement with relevant category knowledge.
