Who you are

We are looking for a Financial Controlling Leader who is enthusiastic about creating an Ingka fit for future. You get energized by improving business growth, increasing customer value, and contributing to overall success and results through people.

You will lead, steer, and support overall Ingka Investments financial and management reporting, securing profitable growth and financial independence. You will also support a clear compliance framework, and effective governance to enable entrepreneurship and safeguarding our people, customers, and businesses.

You are very good in business partnering and stakeholder management. You communicate in a clear and inspiring way, and you have great presentation skills. You get energy from working in an ever-changing and complex work environment, where many things are unknown. You can prioritize and deliver results with quality and on time.

You have good knowledge of IKEA’s global business direction, IKEA Concept, and its market.

Furthermore, you should have:

  • Extensive knowledge of accounting and financial reporting rules, standards and manuals, along with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and consolidation.
  • Sharp analytical skills.
  • University degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related area.
  • Solid work experience with increased responsibility in accounting or finance related field.
  • Ideally, you have been working before with investment activities: Financial Markets, Banks, Insurance, Energy, Forestland, Real Estate, Venture capital, Private equity funds

Your responsibilities

  • Accountable for timely and accurate periodical reporting of the investee companies into the consolidated financial statements of Ingka Group.
  • Responsible for providing sharp performance monitoring packages of the different portfolio companies in which Ingka Investments holds full or minority ownership in order to safeguard the return on investments and at the same time to deliver value to the IKEA business.
  • Responsible for actively engaging the relevant stakeholders to promote a down to earth and fact-based decision-making culture when it comes to steering the investee companies.
  • Responsible for monitoring the industry and market development where the investee operates to create a balanced assessment of the portfolio companies.
  • Support the continuous development of investee companies as well as the investment portfolio in the finance areas (Legal, Tax, Treasury, Accounting & Reporting, Digital and more generally the operating model when necessary). This can also include the development of digital solutions or digital capabilities.
  • Support the onboarding process of newly acquired companies.
  • Support development and implementation of value improvement plans.
  • Support development of the financial, operational, ESG and risk reporting of the Business Development Investments portfolio.

In this role you will report to Kevin Berenfeld, CFO of Ingka Investments. The place of work is Leiden, Netherlands.
