Front-end Developer Opportunity at Massarius

Due to the growth of Massarius, we are looking for an analytical and inquisitive JavaScript developer to scale up our advertising technology stack (AdTech Stack) using Prebid.js. Moreover, you will work in the heart of Amsterdam and use the latest machine learning techniques.

About Massarius

Massarius is a publisher trading desk and makes programmatic trading possible for medium-sized publishers. We are responsible for all automated sales of their advertising space. In total, more than 70 publishers are affiliated with the Massarius network, which amounts to around 100 websites with 700 million advertisements per month on desktop, mobile, and video.

Since 2012 we have grown enormously, rewarded with five FD Gazellen Awards, two FinancialTimes1000 listings, #1 ratings at Emerce and Adformation. In 2020 we grew from Startup to an international Scale-up with offices in Amsterdam and Madrid and +40% growth per year. This year we started in England and Belgium. A fairly ambitious team!

Your Role as Front-end Developer

This is a full-time hybrid position for a JavaScript Software Developer. As a JavaScript Software Developer, you are responsible for developing and maintaining web applications using JavaScript and related technologies. Your daily tasks include coding, debugging, testing, and documenting software applications. You work at the office in Amsterdam, with the possibility of partially working remotely (four days in the office). You work on ad hoc issues from clients and long-term projects.

You have a proactive role and you will be responsible for:

• Maintaining and optimizing the AdTech web infrastructure
• Improving the setup for the front-end
• Troubleshooting existing sites and tracking bugs
• Developing and combining customized features.

The first few months will require a steep learning curve, with the team helping you onboard.

Our Ideal Front-end Developer

• Experience with JavaScript and modern JavaScript frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js
• Experience with HTML, CSS, responsive design, and front-end development
• Knowledge of back-end technologies such as Node.js and Express.js
• Experience with RESTful APIs and asynchronous programming
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git
• Understanding of software development principles and best practices
• Experience with agile methodologies
• Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent work experience
• Experience with cloud platforms and services, such as AWS or Azure, is a plus
