Development Specialist (Consumer Researcher)

Can you turn product experience insights of consumers into innovative dairy products that delight our consumers or customers? FrieslandCampina is seeking a Development Specialist (Consumer Specialist) to guide our New Product Development (NPD) and product renovations through comprehensive consumer research. This starter position is ideal for those who are digitally savvy and eager to (learn to) work with generative AI tools/large language models (LLMs). Your growing expertise in defining both consumer and customer needs, along your strong digital abilities, will guide our R&D teams across multiple countries. 😊

  • Some hands-on experience in conducting consumer or sensory research and/or experience in working with generative AI is considered a plus.

  • You have strong consumer data analysis skills (qualitative and quantitative).
  • Master’s/bachelor’s degree in Consumer Science, Psychology, Food Innovation, Food & Business, or a related field.

Vacancy description

As a Development Specialist (Sensory & Consumer Specialist) at FrieslandCampina, you will be at the heart of our innovation process, working closely with various teams to ensure our products meet the highest standards of consumer and customer satisfaction.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Consumer/Customer Research: Execute studies to gather insights on consumer and customer preferences. Liaise with various consumer research agencies across the globe.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work with R&D, marketing, and commercial teams to integrate sensory and consumer insights into product development. Your role will also involve close collaboration with the Sensory & Panel Team.
  • Support Product Experience Design: Play a critical role in designing optimal product experiences that fulfill the latent needs of our consumers and customers. Provide actionable insights to guide the development process from concept to launch.
