Your Role

The Functional Safety Engineer is part of the Innovations department and plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and reliability of our developments. You will collaborate with highly skilled multidisciplinary engineering teams to develop and implement safety concepts, assess risks, and define safety requirements. As a Functional Safety Engineer at Allseas, you will be responsible for ensuring the design, development, and integration of the entire functional safety life cycle throughout all engineering phases.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct safety assessments, such as HAZOPs or FMECAs, and analyze potential hazards;
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to implement safety measures throughout the product lifecycle;
  • Evaluate and ensure compliance with industry safety standards;
  • Support the development of Safety Instrumented Systems;
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and methodologies to support functional safety and reliability.

What We Expect From You

  • BSc/MSc degree in Mechanical, Control, or Electrical Engineering or equivalent;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Three or more years of relevant work experience with functional safety, ideally with offshore experience;
  • Experience with equipment design, electrical and hydraulic schematics, and Safety Instrumented Systems;
  • Good command of the English language, both written and spoken, with strong communication and collaboration skills.
