International Project Manager (Internship) – ITIA – International Trade & Investment Agency

• Location: Hybrid (approx. 50/50 remote & in-office) or fully in-office possible
• Office: Space Red Elephant, The Hague (next to Malieveld – central location)
• Availability: Minimum 4 days per week
• Compensation: €400/month for 4 days per week, €500/month for 5 days per week + commission-based opportunities

Join ITIA – International Trade & Investment Agency as an International Project Manager and contribute directly to our work in international business, trade, and investment facilitation. You will have the opportunity to engage directly with a wide range of clients and stakeholders. This hands-on experience will equip you with practical skills that are directly translatable to a full-time position, whether at ITIA or elsewhere in the field of international business, trade, or investment.

The International Trade and Investment Agency (ITIA) helps businesses navigate foreign markets, identify foreign direct investment (FDI) opportunities, and build key international connections. Our clients and partners include both public and private sector organizations across North America, Europe, and Asia, giving you exposure to a truly global network.

Based in The Hague, our main services are market research & insights and foreign direct investment (FDI) facilitation. We also provide economic diplomacy & policy advisory business matchmaking, as well as lead generation & outreach.

Your Role & Growth

As an International Project Manager, you will:

1. Conduct market research on international business trends, trade policies, and FDI opportunities
2. Support economic diplomacy efforts by engaging with embassies, and trade organizations
3. Assist in outreach, lead generation, and stakeholder engagement with businesses, investors, and government bodies
4. Contribute to reports and presentations on trade, investment, and global economic trends
5. Work in a multilingual and multicultural environment

Who You Are

Motivated and eager to learn. Prior experience is appreciated but not required. Internationally oriented and interested in global markets, international affairs, business development, trade relations, worldwide networking, etc. What truly matters is your eagerness to gain experience in an international setting.

• Curious and proactive, eager to take on new challenges
• Fluent in Dutch and English, French or other languages are a plus.
• Currently pursuing or completed an HBO/Bachelor/Master’s degree in any field
• Available at least 4 days per week
• Comfortable working independently and in a team

• €400/month for 4 days per week, €500/month for 5 days per week
• Interesting commission-based opportunities for successful project contributions. You receive 5% of the total contract value if you originate a client contract, 10% if you also help secure the contract, and 15-20% if you contribute to project execution, depending on your level of involvement. For commissions earned on projects for existing clients, you receive 35% if directly involved in the project.
• Potential for future career growth – Based on performance and ITIA’s evolving needs, there may be opportunities to transition into a full-time position at ITIA
