We are looking for a Legal Counsel to join our Global Legal team at our headquarters in Waalwijk! 🌍

About the role

As Stahl embarks on a journey of strategic repositioning and innovative growth, we're looking for a Legal Counsel to play a crucial role in our evolving business landscape. In this critical position, you'll be at the heart of our legal operations, driving the entire contract lifecycle from execution to completion. Your expertise in international and Dutch law will be instrumental as you craft, negotiate, and manage agreements that take our business forward. You are part of the legal team and work closely with two direct colleagues, and your manager is the Group Director Legal & Company Secretary.

• Agency contracts
• Joint development partnerships
• Non-disclosure agreements (NDAs)
• Supply and purchase contracts
• Quality assurance agreements
• General terms and conditions

Our innovative initiatives with start-ups and scale-ups demand customization and creative legal solutions.

Your Impact

• Coordinate the end-to-end contract process, ensuring our agreements are compliant and aligned with Stahl's strategic objectives
• Provide insightful legal advice across the organization, and mitigate potential risks
• Play a key role in our acquisition strategy, offering legal guidance throughout the integration process

Internally, you'll be a trusted advisor to

• Finance teams across our global locations
• Business units driving our core operations
• Our tax department, ensuring fiscal compliance and optimization

Externally, you'll build strong relationships with local legal experts, leveraging their insights to complement your own expertise.

What do we ask from you?

• Hold a Master's degree in Law
• Bring 4-7 years of experience as a practicing Lawyer or In-house Business Counsel
• Demonstrate a strong track record in independent contract drafting and negotiations
• Possess in-depth knowledge of Dutch law
• Bring a solid understanding of IP law (preferred)
• Excel in verbal and written communication in English
• A flexible mindset with the ability to think creatively and innovatively
• Showcase an entrepreneurial spirit and a proactive approach to challenges
• Demonstrate practicality and pragmatism in legal problem-solving
• Bring authenticity, compassion, and respect to all professional interactions
• Living in the Netherlands
