Position & Requirements

RFP Writing is a department within Global Marketing that writes Requests for Proposals, Requests for Information and Due Diligence Questionnaires. These are comprehensive and complex lists of questions used by prospects and clients to request information on Robeco and its products. Such questionnaires are often the first step in the sales process and make a very important contribution to generating cash flow. The team is also responsible for answering any ad-hoc questions for the institutional and wholesale markets. Furthermore, RFP Writing ensures that basic information concerning Robeco is stored, maintained and made accessible via Robeco’s Intranet platform Content Plaza. The team is based in Rotterdam and Zurich and consists of RFP Writers, RFP Data specialists and RFP Investment writers.

You will be part of our client-driven team, which is the first point of contact for the national and international sales teams. As an RFP Writer, you will give content-related support for client acquisition and will be responsible for answering RFPs and other information requests for the institutional and wholesale markets.

You initiate, monitor and manage the process of gathering knowledge and information and adapting it to fit the requirements of the requests you receive. You also ensure it is made accessible to others and kept up to date. You will apply your knowledge and experience in advising Sales. You work with Robeco offices in Europe, Asia, Australia and the US.

Scope

• You will answer/process requests for proposal and due diligences within a deadline and with an eye for detail.
• You will seek to find structural information-related solutions.
• You will build an internal network and ensure that this remains up to date. This will enable you to handle requests effectively and efficiently, and to give advice on the proposal provided.
• You will make sure that you have sufficient up-to-date knowledge of the products and services Robeco provides.

In this function you will interact with many different disciplines of Robeco, including portfolio management, risk management, compliance, back office and legal affairs. With this you will obtain knowledge of the different facets of asset management and benefit from the opportunity to build an extensive network within the organization.

What we are looking for

In order to succeed in this job, you must have an understanding of or a demonstrable affinity with investment products. You are not afraid to take initiative and can deal with different client types.

You need to have good communicative and organizational skills and the ability to work with tight deadlines. You are aware of the information clients and prospects require and find it an exciting challenge to present this information in a clear and commercially convincing manner. Furthermore, you:

• Have professional and intellectual capacities at academic or higher professional education level.
• Preferably have 3 to 4 years’ experience in writing RFPs and/or a client support/sales-oriented function within asset-management.
• Have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Dutch.
• Can work autonomously and in a team.
• Have good organizational skills.
• Are able to critically assess and modify texts.
• Are available on a full-time basis (40 h/week).
