How you can make your mark

Make your mark as a data architect at Boskalis! We are in a continuously evolving and changing digital world, where the amount and diversity of data is getting more complex each day. As a data architect, you will be responsible for the architectural framework where we can capture, control and boost our data driven initiatives. Leading to added value for our business, where we foresee a huge impact by AI, driven by a high-quality data architecture. Together with our transformation team, you will be frontrunner within the organization, to set the right path for our data strategy. This includes aspects of involved and impacted processes, organization, technology and information.

Your responsibilities as a data architect

• Design and maintain the enterprise data architecture, with the help of your colleagues.
• Building bridges between different teams, departments and divisions on the topic of being a data-driven organization
• Quality assurance of our most important projects, which heavily relies on our data architecture.
• Foresight thinking to feed our strategies, on how we can face the challenges of the future, when it comes to managing data

Your qualities and experience
You can move ahead as a data architect if you have:

• At least 5 years’ relevant work experience as a data architect / lead data engineer / data scientist.
• A bachelor’s / degree level of thinking.
• Experience with hybrid cloud-based data platforms.
• Good command of written and spoken English and Dutch.

Extra information

• Your team: You will be part of our IT department, where you are joined by fellow architects, data engineers, data scientists, AI engineers and many other IT professionals. These colleagues are not only in the IT department but spread around the whole Boskalis organization. Ranging from R&D department to the finance department and everything in between. You will be in the middle of innovative initiatives when it comes to data- & AI driven developments within Boskalis.
• Where you will work: For office-based roles, in consultation with your manager and your team, you work partly at home and partly in the office.
• Full/part-time job: The position of data architect is a full-time job (40 hours a week). Part-time is possible for at least 36 or 32 hours a week.
