The Recommendation & Search Area houses all expertise around personalized content recommendations and search within DPG Media. Our mission is to improve the relevance of our digital products to our customers by providing them with the content they want, whenever and wherever they want it. Additionally, we are engaged in various Machine Learning (ML) & Generative AI (GenAI) initiatives. We build internal developer platforms to facilitate ML engineers and provide a gateway to safely experiment with GenAI models.
Role Overview
The Solution Architect plays a pivotal role in ensuring the architectural integrity and strategic alignment of solutions within the area. Focusing on quality attributes and Domain-Driven Design (DDD), this role ensures that teams' designs are coherent with area- and enterprise-wide goals. As a solution and enterprise architect, the Solution Architect facilitates the overall architectural vision and guides the Community of Practice within the area, ensuring consistency and optimization across different domains.

The recommendation & search area consist of 4 teams: long form personalisation, news personalisation, search, GenAI platform and internal developer team. We have a combination of ML, SW and platform engineers building on different personalization products and other ML use-cases.
Our teams are based in Vilvoorde, Antwerp and Amsterdam. We work in an agile philosophy and are open to flexible working regimes.
