Solution Architect Identity & Access Management (IAM)

Due to significant transformations and the increasing complexity of our digital landscape, a new team has been established, focusing on Identity & Access Management (IAM). If you have in-depth knowledge of IAM solutions and platforms, this role as a Solution Architect is perfect for you. You’ll work from Arnhem or from home. This is a position for 32 to 40 hours per week. You will make the energy grid smarter at Alliander in Arnhem.

The energy transition needs you as a Solution Architect

The Agile Release Train (ART) Identity & Access Management has recently been established. This ART is part of the digitalization column Technical Platforms. Currently, many solutions and knowledge within our organization are fragmented. In addition, the tools we use for IAM are due for replacement, and we rely heavily on scarce external expertise and capacity. A recent decision was made to prioritize Identity & Access Management more strongly.

As a Solution Architect, you are responsible for technological solutions. Proper management, reliable, and accessible services for Identity & Access Management have always been crucial, but we are now taking it to the next level! In this role, you will be able to distill the essence from detailed information and translate it into decision-making documents at a tactical and/or operational level (SolAr IAM).

Recently, an IAM program was launched to future-proof Alliander’s digital foundation. As part of this program, new tools were selected through a European tender, and we are on the brink of realizing and implementing these tools and related processes in close collaboration with an implementation partner.

You will primarily work within the ART alongside the Solution Architect, Product Manager, and Release Train Engineer. However, due to your expertise, you can expect to receive inquiries from outside the ART as well. As a knowledge expert and key figure in the field of IAM, you will need to navigate this broad stakeholder landscape with ease.

• Ensure that Business Solutions within your scope always comply with the frameworks and guidelines of Enterprise Architecture, Security Architecture, and Data Architecture.
• Oversee the quality and design (including technology, applications, processes, capabilities, etc.) of a portion of our digital landscape.
• Proactively monitor industry developments and actively incorporate them into the development of the architectural runway.
• Act as a sparring partner for other Solution Architects.
• Serve as a master builder during the realization of IAM functionalities.

• Minimum of a higher professional education (HBO) level, supplemented with extensive work experience in a similar role.
• Strong command of both Dutch and English.
• In-depth knowledge of IAM solutions and platforms (e.g., Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, SailPoint Identity Security Cloud).
• Experience in selecting, implementing, and rolling out IGA, PAM, AM, and/or CIAM solutions and processes.
• Proven knowledge and hands-on experience with IAM standards and protocols such as SAML, OpenID Connect, SCIM, and LDAP. Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISA, and CISM are a plus.

Attractive salary and benefits package

Based on a 40-hour working week, you will receive:

• a gross monthly salary of €4.955 to €8.414 (scale 10 or 11).
• annually an Individual Choice Budget (IKB) of 18% (full time) or 12.8% (part time) of your gross annual salary. This includes 5.2% ADV (shorter working hours) and 8% holiday allowance. If you do not work full time, you are not entitled to ADV. You can have this budget paid out as extra salary or use it to purchase extra days off, for example. You choose the option that is right for you.
• 25 days’ holiday (statutory + non-statutory). You can use your IKB to top this up to (full time) (part time).
• an end-of-year bonus of 6% of your annual salary in December.
• an NS-Business Card, enabling you to travel sustainably. Prefer to use your own transportation? You'll receive a mileage reimbursement.
• reimbursement for studies and training programs. Alliander typically covers your entire education costs.
