We are looking for a Residency Trained or Board-Certified Specialist in Neurology ECVN/ACVIM-neurology to join our ambitious team as we are seeing a continuous increase in neurological cases.
AniCura Medisch Centrum voor Dieren is the largest private emergency and referral hospital in the Netherlands. Our aim is to improve the quality of life of pet animals by offering specialist veterinary care, including emergency and critical care services, 24 hours a day, 7 days per week. The hospital is currently staffed with 9 specialists and 3 residents in training for 2 different specialties, 36 veterinarians and 40 veterinary technicians.
We are housed in a new modern building (2010, 1800 square feet), and supplied with all the modern equipment for diagnosis (including CT and MRI) and treatment in small animal medicine. The hospital is located in Amsterdam, the colorful, creative and dynamic capital of the Netherlands.
All modern diagnostic and treatment modalities associated with a modern center are available including CT (Philips Brillance), MRI, direct digital X-ray, fluoroscopy, ultrasound incl. Doppler, various endoscopic facilities, well-equipped operating rooms, laboratory with blood (gas) analysis, blood coagulation, cytology, and quarantine units. We will add a new 1,5T high field MRI (Siemens Magnetom Sempra) in July this year.
We are looking for a passionate veterinarian in Neurology, preferably a Diplomate or board eligible resident ECVN or ACVIM-Neurology. You are keen to deliver high quality neurology service to our patients and have the ambition to work in a clinic with other Diplomates and residents. You will add knowledge, expertise and insights in Neurology to our team by offering high quality care to our pet patients and training, education & collaboration.
We are looking for someone with the desire to share knowledge and help train other veterinarians such as interns and emergency veterinarians.
Excellent communication skills are of course required, a curious and innovative mindset and drive to develop further. You have good skills in English, both written and spoken. Any additional language is of course an added benefit, and we will support you learning Dutch.
