Area Support & Information Services is leveraging Microsoft 365 (M365) extensively for internal communication and information services. Our intranet is visited by tens of thousands of employees from around the globe. We offer personalised news, work instructions, insights in internal and external developments, information on applications and information portals for HR, IT and Facilities.

Where the intranet hosts our formal content, we use Viva Engage to offer our employees platform to meet, discuss and inform each other in an informal way.

To enhance the platform’s functionality and user experience, we utilize the SPFX framework, Azure platform, Power Automate, PowerShell, and other tools. We aim to do this responsibly, ensuring our ever-expanding codebase remains scalable and maintainable, our team stays productive and innovative, and our platform remains future proof.

Your role

We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. You will work closely with business analysts, implementation specialists, a product owner, solution architect, and -of course- other DevOps engineers to unlock the full potential of Microsoft 365.

Key Responsibilities

• Help the DevOps engineering team grow through your experience and insights.
• Lay the foundation for a codebase that scales to 100+ solutions whilst remaining maintainable and productive for the team
• Initiate quality-related improvements, propose and convince the team and business to invest in these areas
• Oversee the entire application lifecycle of all building blocks (e.g., SPFX solutions and Azure Functions).
• Explore new possibilities such as adaptive cards and generative AI.
• Foster a constructive and responsible mindset within the development team.
• Collaborate closely with the team rather than working in isolation.

What you will bring to the team:

• Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
• Ability to promote and facilitate code re-use and automation.
• Experience in overseeing application lifecycles and exploring new technologies.
• Strong knowledge of SPFX framework, Azure platform, Power Automate, and PowerShell. SharePoint Online (Modern Pages)
• Experience with Office 365, SharePoint Framework (SPFX), Javascript /React, PNP-JS, Microsoft Graph API, C# (for development Azure Function Apps)
