In this internship, you will be part of the Scientific Affairs team, within our Central Quality & Food Safety (QFS) department. Our purpose is to provide guidance and application of quality and food safety policies at Danone. During this internship, you will collaborate with a variety of internal & external stakeholders and support with the expansion of Danone’s food safety knowledge within the scientific and regulatory domain.

Your main responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the Scientific Affairs Leader to deliver scientific Briefing docs, Positions, Statements & Policies on key food safety topics
  • Partake in the creation of quality & food safety internal communications
  • Assisting in organization of events for the purpose of engagement with external parties to build food safety knowledge
  • Coordinating business updates and management of Scientific Affairs data

About you

  • You are a Bachelor/Master student currently pursuing a degree in Food Safety, Toxicology, Food Science, Communication Sciences or a related field
  • You have excellent scientific writing skills
  • Interpersonal communication abilities
  • You feel comfortable with event organization
  • Highly analytical
  • You can work autonomously and collaborate with others

As a FS Scientific Affairs Intern, interpreting and monitoring scientific evolutions within the food industry will be second nature to you. You can write scientific reports and have an eye for detail. On top of that? You’re a highly motivated scientific thinker who’s always looking for opportunities to learn and develop.

There are also some compulsory requirements:

  • Enrolled as a Bachelors/Masters student during the whole internship period (if you are a non-EU citizen, you need to be enrolled at a Dutch university);
  • Ideally available to start from March 2025 onwards for a minimum of 6 months, 4-5 days per week;
  • You are fluent in English - spoken and written; French is considered as a plus;
  • You are able to work from our Utrecht office, at least 2-3 days per week;
  • Please note that you are required to relocate to the Netherlands (if abroad) for this internship and get a BSN.

We Offer

We offer a gross monthly internship allowance 650 euros per month and a home working allowance/contribution towards travel. Please do keep in mind that we do not offer relocation and/or accommodation benefits for students coming from abroad.

* Please be aware that you must acquire a BSN number to receive the full internship allowance.
