This is your daily action

As a General Ledger Accountant, you’ll be responsible for the complete and accurate processing of fixed assets, both tangible and intangible. You’ll manage month-end closing activities such as account reconciliations, journal entries, and adjustments. Additionally, you’ll handle the accounting of rental costs, utilities, and lease accounting, and manage investment proposals and capital costs for our stores and distribution centers. You’ll work closely with GL Controllers, Financial Controllers, and Business Controllers to optimize reports and ensure timely, accurate processing.

In addition:

• You will participate in international projects, including the implementation of S/4 HANA and work on optimizing processes by challenging the status quo and making improvement proposals.
• You will play an important role in preparing audit documents (e.g. hard close, interim and year-end) and work closely with Financial Control to ensure smooth audits.
• You will follow accounting guidelines and support colleagues with complex queries.
• You will ensure that internal controls are executed on time by business partners.
• You will test system changes such as SAP and HFM, contributing to continuous system improvements.

This is You

As a General Ledger Accountant, you are detail-oriented, maintain a clear overview, and enjoy working with numbers. You know how to set priorities and are proactive in finding solutions. Additionally, you have strong communication skills, know how to build relationships with various stakeholders and enjoy working in a team.

Additionally, you have:

• At least a bachelor's degree in a financial field, such as Finance, Economics, or Accounting.
• A minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in a similar position.
• Experience with accounting systems such as SAP and HFM (a similar system is also acceptable).
• Strong Excel skills.
• A good command of the English language, both written and spoken (Dutch is a plus).
