Job Summary

Then Kiwa is looking for you as our Information Security Manager!

About the role

The Information Security Manager at Kiwa manages the Information Security Team which is part of Global IT.

You will be working in an international context, focusing on core concepts of cyber security. The activities take place in a multicultural team with a global scope where the standard language is English.

In the security team you will report to the Global IT Director and work closely with the Information Security Officers to maintain the corporate information security policy and organize the information security of our international organization according to risk appetite and internal and external requirements. The security team uses a hands-on approach to constantly ensure Kiwa’s resilience against actual attacks.

You ensure an appropriate level of information security and information security behavior in the organization, based on the needs and risk appetite of the organization. By internal stakeholders you are considered to be an expert in the field of information security.

Key factors for success

  • Make available a standard set of reports and KPI's for senior management;
  • (Further) develop the Security Strategy and be able to articulate and present in a way the Board understands and can support;
  • Lead the ISO27001 framework implementation for Kiwa;
  • Coordinate Security activities with the country and regional organizations;
  • Make available organization-wide guidelines, standards, methods and techniques for information security;
  • Lead on the development and implementation of Information Security within the Kiwa Group;
  • Lead on the information security awareness and be one of the advocates for Security across the organization;
  • Contribute towards the effective management of the information security team;
  • Be prepared to be working in the full spectrum of the Information Security work field;
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues within Global IT and the wider international Kiwa organization to implement Information Security;
  • Take into account the full Security landscape of Kiwa and have a more holistic view on Information Security;
  • Be able to perform information security assessments, and internal security audits, and guide external audits.

As an Information Security Manager you are driven, independent and aim for the best results every day. You have a good eye for detail, work accurately and are a solid and valuable discussion partner for colleagues. You provide (un)solicited advice, are service minded and have a strong sense of responsibility. Towards you team you have a coaching leadership style, can set the example and take decisions where needed.

Do you further have the following profile?

  • Minimum Bachelor level diploma, academic work and thinking level;
  • At least 8 years of work experience in the field of information security;
  • Experience working in international organizations;
  • Experience managing a small team and proven leadership capabilities;
  • Knowledge of Information Security Management and ISO27001, preferably demonstrable by recent ISO27001 Lead Auditor or Implementor training;
  • Relevant training as well as technical knowledge in the field of information security, preferably demonstrable by certifications such as CISM, CISA, or SSCP/CISSP;
  • Experience setting up a security awareness program, developing the corresponding materials and delivering security awareness training;
  • Experience setting up and maintaining an Information Security Management System;
  • Experience with risk management for information security;
  • An excellent verbal and written command of the English language;
  • Fluent in at least one additional European language;
  • Willing and able to occassionally travel internationally to Kiwa offices;
  • You are living in The Netherlands and are allowed to work here.

Where are you going to work?

In this role, you will be working within the Global IT department based in Rijswijk, The Netherlands, although it is also possble to work partly from home. The Global IT eam consists of over 180 enthusiastic, driven and skilled employees and there is a collegial and informal working atmosphere.

Occasional international travel to the Kiwa offices can be part of the function. You will report to the Global IT Director.
