Senior Frontend Developer

What are you going to do?

We develop solutions with impact. Team Ons Medicatie focuses on simplifying and automating client records, with a focus on medication safety.

As a Senior Frontend Developer, you are the link between concept and implementation. Together with your colleagues you make sure that new functionality not only works, but is also intuitive and user-friendly. You mainly work with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript within an existing Ruby on Rails application and always keep the importance of a good interaction design in mind.

Your responsibilities

• Developing: You will be responsible for developing new features and optimizing existing user interfaces;
• Shaping and implementing : Together with your team, you will be responsible for shaping and implementing the technical direction of our applications, coming up with innovative solutions that fit the growing demand for scalable and user-friendly products;
• Technologies: You will work with technologies such as Ruby on Rails, Turbo and Stimulus (Hotwire) to develop user-friendly interfaces that make the work of healthcare workers easier and more efficient. You will work with familiar web technologies;
• Development: You will be given the space and responsibility to shape your own development. Whether it's deepening your technical skills, social skills or discovering new technologies, we support your learning ambitions.

Your team

Team Ons Medicatie within Nedap Healthcare develops solutions for electronic administration registration, focused on medication safety. We pay close attention to the needs of our users: nurses and pharmacists.

Our team works partly remotely, where English is our working language and we communicate as much as possible asynchronously. You can work from any location, provided there is a reasonable overlap with the CET/CEST time zone. Our main office is in Groenlo.

We apply a user-centered development process and strive for continuous improvement of our products to ensure customer satisfaction.

Required experience and skills

Thus, self-reliance and taking responsibility are important within this team and in your role as a Senior Frontend Developer. You are consciously looking to interact and collaborate with your team on content and social issues. You also have the communication skills to interact with customers if necessary.

In addition, you recognize yourself in the following:

• Experience: Extensive experience as a web developer, with excellent knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript for both mobile and desktop platforms.
• Empathize: You can empathize well with the end user and have a hands-on mentality to devise and work out new solutions.
• Knowledge: Familiar with Ruby on Rails and Hotwire (Turbo + Stimulus).
• Languages: Strong communication and writing skills in Dutch and English.
• Pre: affinity with or knowledge of the Dutch Healthcare market.
• Motivated and Independant: Self-motivated and able to work independently and at your own pace.

Good to know: You are available for 32 -38 hours. Hybrid (remote) working is common within Nedap and together with your team you arrange your own working hours for a good work/life balance.
