In a nutshell

As a Copywriter in our employer branding team, consisting of two Content Creators and Events Specialists, you’ll craft the words that convince top talent that Picnic is where they need to be. You will work closely with recruitment and other teams, to ensure a consistent brand message that inspires candidates to join and thrive with us. From snappy social media posts to attention-grabbing job ads, and inspiring blogs to catchy new UX copy for our website—you'll be our go-to for all things recruitment!

Tricks of the trade

  • Writing: You find the right words for these ideas: job descriptions, social media advertisements, video scripts, blogs all the way to web pages
  • Concepting: You come up with new concepts to convince future Picnic employees that Picnic is the place to be
  • Employer branding: You will be mainly responsible for supporting the employer branding team in making their campaigns as fruitful as possible
  • Collaborating: You will also have the chance to collaborate with multiple teams from other copywriters to designers

Your superpowers

  • Bachelor’s Degree in English, Journalism, Communications or equivalent
  • Native skills in English (Dutch is a plus)
  • 1 - 4 years of experience with copywriting
  • Familiar with SEO and experience with WordPress
  • High level of creativity and not afraid to bring unconventional ideas to the table
  • You're great with words, sentences, paragraphs, slogans, blogs, sayings, keyboards, and people
  • You know how to tailor different messages for different target audiences
  • You’re a storyteller and can’t wait to tell Picnic’s story
  • You write perfect English and know what's wrong with ‘your’ when it should be ‘you’re’ (and yes, it drives you crazy too)
  • You can quickly switch between tasks and work well with deadlines
