Job Summary

As shop floor scheduler, you will manage all planning activities within a production area. This includes managing visual systems to determine and monitor the sequence of production orders, ensure the availability of resources and create and maintain the optimal production sequence.

Job Responsibilities

  • Production planning: Create and maintain production schedules based on customer orders, inventory levels, and production capacity.
  • Resource allocation: Allocate resources such as labour, machinery, and materials to meet production requirements.
  • Coordination: Collaborate with various departments, including production, logistics, and procurement, to ensure smooth production flow.
  • Monitoring: Track the progress of production orders and adjust schedules as needed to meet changing requirements or solve problems.
  • Inventory management: Manage inventory levels to avoid over- or shortages while minimizing inventory costs.
  • Problem solving: Identify and address production bottlenecks, delays, and other issues that may affect production schedules.

Job Qualifications

To best fulfil this role, we require the following:

  • Bachelor degree, preferably in Supply Chain/Logistics
  • An advantage is having experience with day-to-day planning within an operations environment.
  • As a type of person, you are stress-resistant. You can work both independently and in a team, and you are eager to learn. You can work in a precise and planned manner.
  • Good communication skills, you know how to create support for your ideas in order to get stakeholders on board.
  • You enjoy thinking about process optimisation.
