You and your job

As a Scrum Master in the area of Transaction Monitoring Detection, you operate in a dynamic environment where close cooperation with at least two squads within the same project is essential. Your role involves regular collaboration with other Scrum Masters on overarching topics related to team agile maturity. This requires you to be eager to learn and willing to work closely with other squads to improve agile ways of working while bringing new ideas and perspectives into the team.

Your primary objective is to cultivate high-performing, collaborative, and self-organizing teams. You strive to create an environment where continuous improvement is a natural part of the workflow, encouraging team members to regularly reflect on their processes and implement enhancements. You focus on fostering a supportive and engaging team culture, dedicated to identifying and removing obstacles that may hinder progress, ensuring that the team can work efficiently and effectively.

Additionally, your IT knowledge and eagerness to learn more about IT are crucial in supporting the team during technical discussions and decision-making. By achieving these goals, you contribute to the overall success and maturity of the organization.

• Bridge the gap between conceptualizing and actioning ideas within your squads and the Area by personifying Scrum and Agile principles.
• Support Product Owners and other key stakeholders in defining valuable product goals and managing the product backlog effectively.

• As an experienced Scrum Master you help our teams to take the next steps in their Agile growth.
• You intrinsically motivate your teams to embrace the Scrum framework by planting the right seeds, so that the team members want to improve themselves.
• Collaborate with the other Scrum Masters and leadership on the agile maturity improvement topics in the project on regular basis.
• In addition to your expertise in Agile and Scrum, you bring in more than just that knowledge and experience; you move people to think in a different way, so that they get the most out of themselves and demand that from their teammates.

The 15+ squads in the area of Transaction Monitoring Detection are responsible for preventing Money Laundering & Terrorist Financing. This is one of the fundamental aspects of our society and our organization, and as a bank, we play a crucial role in this field. Within Rabobank, we have built a data-driven solution that analyses over 11 million transactions daily to detect customers who launder money or finance terrorists. You and your talent

• Proven experience of working with 2 or more squads at a time.
• At least PSM II Scrum Master certificate (Scrum.org) and a SAFe and/or a LeSS certification.
• Knowledge and experience with Scrum and, preferably, knowledge of other frameworks e.g. SAFe and/or LeSS.
• Experience with supportive tooling: MS Teams, Miro, Azure DevOps.
• Experience in applying a DevOps way of working (culture, Test Automation, Pipelines, etc.).
• Excellent communication skills in English and ability to address questions/issues in a transparent manner;
• Enthusiastic individual that can motivate and energize people around them while not coming across as too pushy;
• Empathetic and reliable individual that can coach individuals and help them grow and improve;
• Critical thinking and ability to express your opinion when needed regarding innovative solutions in the way of the current working;
• Strong Leadership: a strong personality who can give and receive feedback, including to management;
• Experience with conflict management, by putting issues on the table and facilitating them constructively;
• Individual that is keen and able to see the bigger picture and address process pitfalls as necessary;
• Team player that knows how to collaborate with the stakeholders: Fellow Scrum Masters, Tech Leads, Product Owners, Solution Architects and other business stakeholders;
• Focus on Results: Action and output-oriented, with a strong focus on delivery;
• Able to work in a highly structured environment while remaining adaptable to changes.
