About this position

Combine human expertise with machine learning to develop intelligent, reliable, and sustainable solutions. Simplify laws with AI, help farmers embrace sustainability, and work on advanced language models like GPT NL. As a Consultant Data & AI at TNO, you’ll deliver groundbreaking solutions with societal impact.

  • FarmBuddy, an AI chatbot that helps farmers adopt sustainable practices, regardless of their level of expertise;
  • GPT NL, a Dutch language model accelerating innovation in sectors like healthcare and defense.

Additionally, you’ll work on:

  • Advice and strategy: Identifying the "question behind the question," translating client needs into concrete proposals, and staying engaged during implementation;
  • Proposition development: Working on hybrid AI solutions (combining data-driven and knowledge-driven approaches) and methods to make AI more reliable, explainable, and ethically sound;
  • Knowledge sharing: Presenting at conferences, organizing workshops, and contributing to papers on topics such as the impact of Large Language Models (LLMs).

Whether you’re a technical consultant who loves working with data or a strategic thinker focused on advisory and product development, TNO allows you to set your own focus and grow in the direction that suits you best.

  • A strong technical foundation and the ability to simplify complex concepts;
  • Excellent communication skills to inspire clients, partners, and colleagues;
  • An interest in building a relevant network and connecting stakeholders.

What you'll get in return

Challenging and varied work with a real impact. And plenty of opportunities as, at TNO, you are in charge of shaping your career. We offer a gross monthly salary between € 4.500,- and € 6.600,- (based on your knowledge and experience), 8% holiday pay, a 13th month bonus of 8.33% and a flex budget (5.58% + € 180). You may also expect:

  • An extremely professional, innovative working environment where colleagues are leading experts in their field.
