Sales, Marketing & Pricing intern mainly for Private Equity held portfolio companies
We are a boutique consulting company focused on Gross Profit improvements for Private Equity Portfolio companies. Our core focus lies in marketing, sales, pricing, and procurement. We do this through traditional Consulting projects and by delivering Data & Digital Tooling improvements (e.g. CRM and tooling). At impulssum, we aim to create lasting impact through data-driven & customer-centric strategic advice. We combine a top-tier management consulting approach with a strong focus on pragmatically increasing customer centricity. We operate on the C-level to set strategic direction and on the ground level to get things done. Currently, we have 5 FTEs in our Amsterdam office next to Central Station, and we are looking for someone to strengthen our team.
We cover a broad range of strategic management services, focusing on Gross Profit improvements through topics such as Sales process optimization, Value-Based Pricing, Customer Experience, Portfolio development or Digitization of the Commercial Area. We strongly collaborate with Private Equities. You will have direct exposure to leading PEs and help them drive value-creation projects for their portfolio. Our aim is to structure and build value adds for our clients, not to create hundreds of slides. We focus on the mid-market, where pragmatic delivery is critical. You will work in an entrepreneurial environment and shape impulssum’s future together with us.
In this particular role, we are looking for someone interested in becoming a well-balanced consultant with the potential to develop further in the company. Someone who likes to interact with clients, knows how to manage a process, takes responsibilities seriously, and has an entrepreneurial mindset to help grow Impulssum together.
Typical duties include:
· Support one or several consulting projects at the same time
· Own the analysis and drive insights generation
· Break down and structure the customer problem
· Create conclusions and support on presenting back to the client
· Contribute to the broader business through business development, knowledge sharing, coaching and other activities
· Help in our own Sales & Marketing proposition
· Defining and working out new propositions to expand impulssum’s offering
Skills & Experience
· Strong technical skills in MS PowerPoint & Excel
· Motivation and drive to keep developing and gaining new knowledge/skills
· Good people and client management skills, including an understanding of how to communicate with clients of different backgrounds and opinions
· Evidence of contributing to the broader team and leading business development opportunities
· Interest in commercial topics (not necessarily experience)
· Earlier experience at another Consulting or Private Equity company is a strong plus
· Professional level of English & Dutch. German is a plus
