  • Function: Global Procurement
  • (Sub)department: Global Category Manager Paper Labels (Packaging)
  • Job purpose: Secure interrupted supply for the Paper labels and alu foils category and benchmark the category with the ultimate goal to reduce the cost base and become best in class
  • Reports to: Global Category leader Paper Packaging
  • Direct Reports: None
  • Roles & responsibilities
  • Develop a long term vision & implement multi-year category strategy;
  • Lead e-auctions, tenders and negotiations;
  • Execute competitive benchmark studies and implement DSV-projects in the various regions;
  • Enhance should cost model and analyse opportunities for the category
  • Drive our sustainability agenda for the paper category;
  • Drive our upstream sourcing activities;
  • Do extensive stakeholder management, both internally (OpCo’s & Group functions) and externally, to ‘make it happen’;
  • Secure uninterrupted supply for all materials; complex category
  • Perform spend analysis, budgeting, operationalization of contracts and follow-up of ad-hoc requests;
  • Report on performance of the category (spend, contract compliance, benefit tracking);
  • Further simplify complexity in the category and share recommendations to the business

Experience & profile (what & how)

What:

  • Education: Master degree in business, financial, logistics, commercial, economical or procurement discipline;
  • Work experience: minimum of 5 years. Experience in leading negotiations, project management and consultancy is a pre
  • Extensive experience in strategic sourcing with a preference for direct materials;
  • Language(s): Fluent English language required (verbally & written);
