The internship

The role will work from Amsterdam to help administer and control the rollout of our HEINEKEN Waf of Sales global capability program and Excellent Outlet Execution, our driving system. You will also contribute to the overall communication plan and execution across multiple media touchpoints. We plan to improve the sales capability of OpCo’s and individuals, as well as putting the customer at the center of all of our important conversations and decisions.

There will be ad-hoc extra projects or specific initiatives which will be challenging and will give great insight into the daily working practices within HEINEKEN through regular contact and exposure to other departments such as Global Finance, Global HR as well as direct contact with multiple markets in around the world.

Scope

  • The organization of Global Sales Capability regional training events and workshops
  • Co-ordination of the Sales Capability Community of practice on @Workplace
  • Creation and maintenance of the Global Sales Capability SharePoint site and materials
  • Ongoing interaction with key OpCo contacts to deliver
  • Day-to-day operations and general admin

The department

Global Sales is an international department within HEINEKEN’s Head Office in Amsterdam. We’re a diverse team of individuals gathered from around the world, all focused on supporting our Regions and OpCos in building sales excellence and enabling transformation and growth. The role reports to the Sales Capability Manager within the Sales Excellence Team.

The terms of employment

  • Your starting date is 1 February 2025
  • The internship is fulltime
  • The duration of the internship is 6 months
  • It is a theoretical research internship
  • You will be based in Amsterdam
  • During your internship, you have the flexibility to work in a hybrid setup (minimum 3 days per week in the office)
  • You will receive an internship fee of €650 gross pm based on 40 hours per week (when you start at the 1st of January 2025)
  • You will enjoy 2 vacation days per month (based on fulltime)
  • If you do not have a student OV product, your commuting expenses will be fully reimbursed

  • Currently in study for a Bachelors or Master’s degree.
  • Fluent English language required – other languages are a bonus but not essential
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills (Questioning & Listening)
  • Assertive, pragmatic, resilient and a can-do attitude, especially in a fast-paced environment
  • Problem Solving focus, identifying challenges and developing creative solutions.

Conditions of HEINEKEN

  1. You are enrolled at an educational institution.
  2. In the case of non-EU nationality, you must be registered as an intern with a Dutch educational institution, from which we receive proof of enrollment for the current academic year from you.
  3. In case of EU nationality, you may also be registered as an intern at educational institutions outside the EU.
  4. Living in the Netherlands during internship (HEINEKEN does not facilitate housing).
