The internship

Do you like networking, communication and standardizing great ideas in a technical context, then this internship fits you like a glove!

  • We are looking for an intern to support us in developing business intelligence on our assets globally.
  • You will play a pivotal role working with our regions, hubs, and breweries to convert and validate their asset information to the Heineken standard, ready for transfer to a new database.
  • By connecting with stakeholders across the maintenance functions, you will scope out the user-end environment to fully utilize the data, enabling benchmarking, sharing best practices, and gaining insights into the effectiveness of the Asset Care program.
  • You will get to opportunity to make deep dives in one or more topics of your choice, such as Maintenance Organizations, Spare Parts Management, Reliability Engineering, Continuous Improvement, Repair & Maintenance Budget and many more

The department

Within the Global Maintenance & Asset Care team we look after Maintenance of our Production Assets. We are in touch with Maintenance organizations in more than 200 breweries worldwide. During an internship you will learn how to connect with subject matter experts in a global context and you will experience the benefits of collaboration in a global network. We believe this can be a unique experience for future leaders in Maintenance and Engineering organizations.

The terms of employment

  • Your starting date is 1 February 2025
  • The internship is fulltime (in consultation also 4 days a week possible)
  • The duration of the internship is 5 or 6 months (in consultation with your internship supervisor)
  • It is a practice-oriented internship, but a combination with research is possible
  • You will be based in our office at Schiphol Airport.
  • You will receive an internship fee of €650 gross pm based on fulltime
  • You will enjoy 2 vacation days per month (based on fulltime)
  • If you do not have a student OV product, your public transport expenses will be fully reimbursed

The start of your internship

Together with a diverse group of interns from different departments you will start your internship at HEINEKEN. Together you will be introduced to the organization. Furthermore, you can organize fun activities with your fellow interns.

The unique you!

  • You are enrolled in a technical/engineering study or have great affinity with Maintenance/Engineering.
  • You are interested in People and Organizations, as much as you are interested in Engineering.
  • You are a global citizen, or want to become one, and would love to be connected with people from all over the world.
  • Extensive experience with Excel and a strong aptitude for quickly mastering new systems.

  • Bachelor or Master student
  • Technical/Engineering (Industrial/Business) Management/Administration background, but we invite Technical people with affinity for People and Organization or vice versa also to apply
  • The company language is English

Conditions of HEINEKEN

  1. You are enrolled at an educational institution.
  2. In the case of non-EU nationality, you must be registered as an intern with a Dutch educational institution.
  3. In case of EU nationality, you may also be registered as an intern at educational institutions outside the EU.
  4. Physical presence at the location of your internship. We believe that you learn most when you can work directly with your colleagues. It is therefore not possible to work completely remote and HEINEKEN does not facilitate housing.
