Your department

The ICT department has initiated a transition towards an Agile way of working as part of the transition towards an improved ICT Target Operating Model (TOM). The Vanderlande ICT Core department is the backbone of our ICT Department, providing infrastructure, workplace, low-code platform, custom applications and data transport products to our internal organization. ICT Core contributes to high value for our business and delivering cutting-edge products.

Your responsibilities

As a Product Owner Low-code/Power Platform, you will take ownership of the product by defining a strategy and vision for the adoption, governance, and self-service capabilities of the platform. You will actively collaborate with internal stakeholders to translate business requirements into tailored Low Code enterprise core solutions upon the Power Platform. You manage priorities and align on dependencies between teams. Additionally, you will be responsible for positioning self-service AI capabilities and AI solutions built with CoPilot Studio and Microsoft-related Low Code AI services.

You will work closely with other Product Owners, the Chief Product Owner, and Product- and System Architects to refine and define feature functionality and acceptance criteria. Additionally, you will play a key role in setting and creating the product roadmap to ensure alignment with strategic goals. You will also collaborate closely with the development manager and scrum master. While you represent the customer’s voice and priorities, the development manager focuses on people management, ensuring the team has the necessary skills and capabilities. Together with the scrum master, they ensure the development team remains focused and capable of delivering high-quality products on time.

The Low-Code team is dedicated to providing a self-service platform that empowers everyone at Vanderlande to boost their productivity. By automating processes and fostering innovation on the Microsoft Power Platform, we aim to enhance business process efficiency. Additionally, the team develops scalable, business-driven enterprise solutions to improve internal processes across multiple domains. These solutions are utilized by IT stakeholders and various departments, facilitating everything from IT process automation to streamlined workflows.

Serving as a Product Owner for the Low Code team, this role requires the following duties and responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Chief Product Owner on market research, future features and functionalities to meet new business demands.
  • Responsible for the product vision and long-term roadmap of the Low-Code platform (Power Platform).
  • Responsible for the strategy around the adoption, governance and self-service capabilities of the Low-Code platform.
  • Align with main stakeholders within the business domains and digital acceleration team to strive adoption of the platform.
  • Lead role in the adoption and governance boards which includes several stakeholders from within the organization.
  • Together with the Product Architect, responsible for the security and compliance of the Power Platform and defining governance guardrails and processes.
  • Work together with the business stakeholders to set priorities and align on dependencies.
  • Work with Product- and System Architects to help define the product and produce cost/effort estimations.
  • Responsible for release planning, sprint goals, and refining both technical and business functionality that meets multiple development projects.
  • Manage project conflicts, challenges and dynamic business requirements to meet expected deliverables.
  • Communicate with management and stakeholders on sprint and project milestones and product KPIs like Adoption trends and security/compliancy of the platform, etc.
  • Able to do postmortem and root cause analysis with teams along with retrospectives to improve the development process.

Your qualifications and skills

  • Multiple years of experience with the Power Platform within an international environment.
  • At least 3 years experience in Agile gathering technical and business requirements as a product owner and/or scrum master.
  • Strong coach on implementation of SAFe or Agile scrum and working with Architecture teams to assess and size story/epics.
  • Working experience with Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence, etc.) is a pre.
  • Good interpersonal skills (work well within a team) and ability to influence at various levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced operational environment with competing priorities and multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Drive to win, result and goal-oriented with a hands-on mentality.
  • Able to speak, read and write in English.
