As a Product Manager within Global Markets Prime Equities at Barclays, you will have responsibility for supporting a range of products and processes across the business area. This will entail providing analysis, process improvement, and governance across multiple products whilst working closely with sales and trading teams.

Purpose of the role
To develop, launch, and manage the portfolio of financial products and services for the global markets, collaborating with a team of product managers, traders, risk managers, and other stakeholders to define product strategies, develop roadmaps, and bring new products to market, also playing a key role in gathering and analysis of market intelligence, identifying client needs, and developing competitive differentiators.
Accountabilities
- Development and execution of product strategy for financial products and services offered within the Markets division.
- Identification of market opportunities and customer needs to create new products or enhance existing ones.
- Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including traders, sales, risk management, and technology, to define product requirements.
- Market data analysis to make informed decisions regarding product positioning and pricing.
- Management of the entire product lifecycle, from ideation to launch and ongoing maintenance.
- Monitoring of product performance, through analysing metrics and client feedback.
