We are looking for our Financial Control Manager, someone who is eager to support our growth ambitions and would like to play a key role in the Finance Team.

Your Mission

Your responsibilities will be overseeing the preparation of financial statements and reports, ensuring they are accurate and timely, including the accuracy and integrity of financial data, transactions, and reporting. This includes ensuring the organization complies with relevant financial regulations and accounting standards. You will continuously improve financial processes and systems, developing ways of working and using new technologies. You will develop people to ensure there is a strong team collaboration, where talents can grow and a succession plan for key roles is ensured as a cornerstone of the role.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced person to join our team. You have a solid background in finance, ideally financial controlling, with a profile of being self-motivated and proactive. You are customer oriented and see and implement improvements. Strong leadership and communication skills are important. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, and cultivate functions reporting to you by providing professional development opportunities and guidance. Functions include accounts payable, accounts receivable, general accountants, and tax.
  • Oversee financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, as well as accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
  • Drive month-end closing processes according to local and Sandvik group requirements.
  • Ensure accurate and timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Dormer Pramet acts as a shared service center for other companies within Sandvik so the person will be responsible for the reporting of other companies having sales in Brazil (Coromant, Walter, Seco, and Sandvik Holding).
  • Develop and implement internal controls and financial policies.
  • Ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards, regulations, and company policies.
  • Identify and mitigate financial risks through effective internal controls and risk management strategies.
  • Liaise with external and internal auditors as the first point of contact.
  • Actively identify and manage optimization and automation of the financial processes.
  • Implement cost-saving measures and initiatives to enhance financial performance.
  • Ensure appropriate cash flow to satisfy business demands by providing correct reporting, cash flow projections, and actively managing the balance sheet items.
  • Advise operational leaders regarding the impact of any decisions on overall financials.
  • Ensure all tax obligations are calculated correctly and reported on time.
  • Act as a second pair of eyes related to bank transactions.
  • Have co-signatory responsibility together with Managing Director
  • Ad hoc responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (desirable active CRC), Economics, Business Administration, Engineering, or related areas.
  • Previous experience as a Controller or in Financial Management or related areas.
  • Mastery of the budgeting process, financial analysis, and cost calculation.
  • Experience in SAP implementation and process optimization.
  • Leadership and people development skills.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Microsoft Office (advanced).
  • Desirable knowledge in SAP Modules FI and CO.

Location: São Paulo (Interlagos), Brazil. Since we are a global business, travel will be a small part of the role, as well as efficient digital collaboration across time zones.
