The EMEA Distributor Senior Marketing Specialist at Crocs is a pivotal role responsible for leading and executing distributor marketing strategies across the EMEA region with maximum effectiveness and strategic alignment. The candidate is helping to drive sales through marketing programs, activations, events, and promotions. This position entails driving sales, enhancing brand visibility, and fostering strong partnerships with distributor teams. The Senior Specialist works closely with cross-functional teams and provides leadership in developing and implementing comprehensive marketing plans to drive business growth.
The EMEA distributor markets are composed of 80+ countries managed by 19 Distributor partners in Europe (Italy, Spain, Poland, Czech Republic, Greece, Turkey...), Middle East (UAE, KSA, Kuwait, Lebanon, Israel,...), and Africa (Egypt, South & Central Africa, Nigeria, Mauritius,...).
What You'll Do
Strategic Planning and Execution
- Lead the development and execution of marketing strategies across EMEA markets ensuring timely and quality delivery, as well as alignment with overarching business objectives.
- Take ownership of seasonal marketing plans, overseeing implementation and optimizing effectiveness to drive sales and brand growth.
- Manage distributor teams to develop and execute localized Marketing plans aligned with Global Marketing strategy, fostering collaborative relationships.
- Ensures that execution of local Marketing activations is on brand and according to agreed seasonal marketing plan as well as social media and digital activities.
- Establish and maintain relationships with new distributor partners through a thorough onboarding process.
- Proactively identify market opportunities/challenges and trends and conduct competitor research, translating insights into actionable marketing initiatives, keeping up with the latest trends and innovations in marketing and related fields.
- Manage budgets & resources for marketing activities. Track campaign performance data and identify areas for improvement.
- Monthly reporting to Management about Campaign Results, Marketing Spend Reports, PR Reports, best practices, and insights.
Cross-functional collaboration
- Collaborate closely with internal marketing teams as well as key internal and external stakeholders to integrate distributor marketing initiatives seamlessly.
- Inform EMEA Integrated Marketing team on relevant local Marketing moments.
- Facilitate communication between distributor markets and internal teams, gathering insights and briefing requirements for marketing material development leading to a best-in-class local execution.
- Drive synergies and process improvements through effective collaboration with the Commercial Team and other key stakeholders.
Market Insights and Trend Analysis
- Has great knowledge of the various markets and is aware of cultural nuances.
- Stay abreast of market trends, consumer behavior, and competitive landscape across EMEA region, leveraging insights to inform marketing strategies.
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of local market dynamics and consumer preferences, guiding strategic decision-making and campaign adaptation.
- Understand the local ways of working and can collaborate with the partners in a respectful and appropriate manner.
What You'll Bring to the Table
- Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s degree preferred) in marketing or related field.
- 5-7 years of full-time experience in Marketing with an international brand that operates in multiple channels.
- Fashion/Footwear industry experience is a strong plus.
- Priority Setting: Ability to take initiative, work independently and prioritize tasks; strong time-management, organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Creativity: Innovative thinking to support creating engaging and memorable brand activations.
- Project Management: Skill in leading multiple complex projects, deadlines, and partners simultaneously.
- Budget Management: Understanding of budgeting and financial management related to marketing activities.
- Adaptability: Flexibility and adaptability to navigate changing trends, consumer behaviors, and industry dynamics.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to identify challenges and develop effective solutions.
- Strong experience in Distributor/Partner marketing or channel activation, ideally within the Middle East region, demonstrating strong market knowledge and cultural awareness.
- Knowledge of international fashion/trends with the ability to translate into commercial concepts.
- Ability to successfully work in a highly cross-functional matrix environment.
- Cultural sensitivity, adaptability, and excellent communication skills in a multicultural setting.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
