What are you going to do?

At Nedap Healthcare, we have developed a product that helps elderly people with dementia improve their independence and quality of life. Now we are joining forces with Nedap Retail to scale this product for large-scale production. We are looking for a Electrical Engineer to lead the electronic design and make the product more scalable, with guidance from Nedap Retail's experienced Product Engineering team.

Your responsibilities

The main responsibilities for you as an Electrical Engineer are the following:

  • Redesigning the Healthcare product to make it ready for large-scale production;
  • Setting up and monitoring production at an Electronic Manufacturing Service (EMS) partner;
  • Finding solutions for End Of Life (EOL) components to ensure product availability and redesign where necessary;
  • Support product development teams with knowledge of design for production and specify production testers;
  • Collaborate with the Test and Measurement group to build production testers;
  • Collaborate with Operations team to optimize priorities based on inventory and order intake.

Your team

As an Electrical Engineer, you will join the Product Engineering team at Nedap Retail as the point of contact for Nedap Healthcare. You are responsible for managing the design and production preparation of the Healthcare product and future upgrades. Your colleagues at Nedap Retail have in-depth knowledge of scalable products and will work closely with you. When there are no active projects within Healthcare, you will contribute to other innovative projects within Retail.

Required experience and skills

We are looking for someone with the following:

  • Skill in reading and modifying PCB schematics and layouts; "You are good at reading and modifying schematics and layouts of printed circuit boards. This helps us to produce our products according to the correct specifications."
  • Basic knowledge of Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC); "Your knowledge of EMC helps our team meet international standards. This is important to prevent interference and keep our products safe."
  • Experience with the use of measuring instruments; "You have experience using various measuring instruments. This is essential for collecting accurate data that we need for our tests."
  • Proficiency in English, both spoken and written. "Your English is good in both speaking and writing. You will need to share and discuss technical information in English."
