What Are We Looking For?

We are in search of an experienced communications advisor who is capable of strategic thinking while also enjoying hands-on work. In this position, you will handle internal communications within the Investment Management unit, which is undergoing significant transition. You'll manage all communication activities, from strategy to execution, and lead all internal communication projects. This role involves close collaboration with the Investment Management Directorate (DOVB), where you'll serve as a partner in communication matters. You'll seamlessly transition between organizing daily communications, managing strategic change projects, and coordinating with external specialists.

Role Responsibilities

Your aim is to keep all Investment Management employees well-informed and engaged with the unit's activities, strategies, and future goals. You'll empower them in their roles, bolstering company pride. Responsibilities include creating and implementing the communication annual plan, responding to ad hoc needs, and advising the Investment Management Directorate. Coordination with staff and program managers to align messages is key, as is collaboration with external parties for larger strategic communication projects.

Success Factors

To excel, you must understand PGGM and its Investment Management unit. You should recognize valuable stories within our organization and embody its values. Relationship-building with stakeholders like the Management Team and leaders is critical. You’ll work alongside the Change Project Manager on the ‘Let's Change The Future’ communications plan, crucial for the 2030 Strategy. Interest in global transitions and their relevance to PGGM is advantageous. Access to communications specialists in Public Affairs and External Communications will support your efforts.

A Day in the Life...

Start the day greeting colleagues at the Change Lab, gathering materials for an inspiration session. Post-session, you draft emails and have lunch with colleagues. Find a quiet workstation to refine advice and plans for tomorrow's board meeting, revising presentations with the Change Project Manager. End the day with Corporate Communications colleagues for a casual debrief.
