Network Engineer

At Allseas, a world-leading contractor in the offshore energy market, we are seeking an experienced Network Engineer ready to tackle the challenge of designing, implementing, and maintaining our network infrastructure, encompassing both our on-premise and cloud-based systems.

As a key member of our dynamic Infra & Cloud team(8 persons), you will play a crucial role in the daily maintenance, development, and expansion of our network, aiming to ensure a secure and reliable environment that meets the demands of our colleagues. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, work onshore at our worldwide offices or offshore at our vessels.

Your role

• Design, deploy and manage on-premise (Cisco-based) and cloud network infrastructure, such as Azure and Cisco Enterprise Networking.
• Implement network security and adhere to compliance to Allseas policies and industry standards.
• Monitoring, troubleshooting our network infrastructure to achieve an optimal network performance.
• Document our architecture and build and maintain procedures to share the knowledge within the team.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.

What we expect from you

• You have a HBO/BSc degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field and a minimum of three years of experience.
• You have good communication skills in Dutch and English.
• In-depth knowledge of networking concepts, protocols, and technologies (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, BGP, EIGRP, OSPF).
• Experience with Cisco IOS-XE and Nexus-OS.
• Experience with Fortigate Firewalls and Fortimanager.
• Familiarity with Cisco SD-WAN and Cisco DNA Center.
• Understanding of Cisco-SD-Access, Cisco ISE.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Cisco CCNA/CCNP, Azure certifications) are preferred.
