Job Title: Degree Apprentice Air Supply Chain Management with Procurement

Location: Samlesbury Warton

What you’ll be doing:

This is a four-year scheme. Through four annual work placements, you will learn and demonstrate skills required in:

  • Procurement
  • Warehousing & Transport Operations
  • Logistics Management
  • Commercial Management
  • Purchasing Principles for Global Supply Chains
  • Supply Chain Analytics
  • Developing Management Capability
  • Developing Leadership Capability
  • Managing Procurement Performance
  • Technology & Innovation
  • Strategic Supply Chain Management

Within the Procurement function, you can expect to be involved in a wide range of activities whilst working alongside Procurement Professionals, including:

  • Identifying appropriate and key capabilities within the supply base and aiding the development of innovative solutions.
  • Leading the supplier selection and negotiation activities required by the business.
  • Facilitating and leading effective supplier relationships and partnerships where necessary.
  • Developing short, medium, and/or long-term supplier strategies and relationships.

Please note you must not book any annual leave within the first three months of your apprenticeship. Following this, leave will be considered depending on the individual training delivery schedule and must be approved by your line manager.

What qualification will you get?

You will work towards a BSc Supply Chain Management with Procurement (Professional Practice) delivered by Aston University.

Export Control / Security:

These restrictions mean that factors such as your nationality, any nationalities you may have previously held, and your place of birth can restrict the roles you are eligible to perform within the organisation. All applicants must, as a minimum, achieve Baseline Personnel Security Standard. Many roles also require higher levels of National Security Vetting where applicants must typically have 5 to 10 years of continuous residency in the UK, depending on the vetting level required for the role, to allow for meaningful security vetting checks.

Qualification requirements

5 GCSEs 9-4/ A*-C (or equivalent) including Mathematics and English, 96 UCAS Tariff Points (240 points old tariff) (or equivalent), excluding UCAS points gained at AS Level.
