We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Email Marketing Intern to join our Marketing team in Amsterdam and support our global email marketing initiatives. In this role, you will work closely with our marketing team to create engaging email content and help drive the success of our campaigns. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about digital marketing, eager to learn, and ready to dive into hands-on work in a collaborative and innovative environment. We are looking for someone to join us for a period of 5-6 months, starting in February.

In Case You Don’t Know Who We Are (ahem):

Known for being the rule breakers in hospitality, The Social Hub is a fun, creative, and inspiring environment where everyone can work, stay, learn and play and most importantly – be themselves. As an employer, we look, act and think like a hotel, but instead, we offer a lot more. Think student accommodation, long and short stay options, gyms, talks, events, rooftop bar and eat & drink escapes as well as community and coworking spaces. Located in The Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Italy, France, and Spain with several new openings on the way, this hybrid hospitality concept may take root in the heart of Europe, but our plans are set for going global.

What You’ll Do

  • Assist the Lifecycle Marketing Manager in crafting engaging, strategic communications for CRM contacts across all lifecycle stages—from acquisition and conversion to retention and loyalty.
  • Conduct research and actively participate in brainstorming sessions to develop a dynamic and relevant newsletter content calendar.
  • Compose compelling email content and implement designs within Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
  • Collaborate with local teams to create and enhance region-specific newsletters for targeted audience engagement.
  • Monitor campaign performance metrics and support KPI reporting to assess campaign effectiveness.
  • Contribute to ongoing campaign and channel optimizations to boost performance and engagement.
  • Stay informed on the latest trends and best practices in email marketing and CRM to help drive innovation.

Who You Are

  • You’re a student – you must be enrolled in a university!
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with email marketing principles and basic CRM knowledge; prior experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud is a plus.
  • You are customer-focused: Understanding of customer needs and how to tailor marketing efforts to meet those needs effectively.
  • Strong writing and editing skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to think creatively and bring new ideas to the table.
  • Proactive, adaptable, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset to work effectively with a global team.
  • Passion for digital marketing and interest in learning about CRM and email marketing strategies.

What We Offer

  • An amazing work environment with a fantastic vibe and lots of positive energy.
  • On the job coaching and guidance.
  • Monthly compensation for your internship.
  • The opportunity to work and learn at a dynamic, young, international organization; we’re a real game changer in the hospitality industry.
  • A first glimpse into the world of hospitality with one of the most innovative players in the market.
  • Access to the amazing TSH facilities, including our awesome restaurant and gym. And did we mention you also get a discount on hotel stays and food and drinks?
  • A wonderful workplace to call home with, dare we say it, fun colleagues.

Who you are, is how we want you to be. To us, hybrid hospitality goes across the board, from how we service our guests to how we represent ourselves. Here, everyone belongs, and we welcome people no matter their nationality, gender, age, sexual orientation, religion, or culture. Your authenticity keeps our team diverse. Come as you are.

The Social Hub is much more than a hotel. In our boundary-blurring spaces we bring together a new generation of bold change-makers to connect, learn, stay, work, and play. Creating memorable experiences for our community of hotel guests, students, creatives, enterprising minds and anyone in between.
