About the Role
As M&A Manager, you will manage entire M&A processes, from deal sourcing to post-acquisition integration, ensuring that each transaction aligns with Kiwa’s long-term objectives. You will identify and assess new market opportunities, conduct comprehensive financial and strategic analyses, and manage the negotiation and structuring of deals. Your expertise will directly influence Kiwa’s growth trajectory and competitive positioning.
Reporting directly to the Director Corporate Development, you will work closely with cross-functional teams, including legal, finance, and local business units, to ensure successful execution of M&A projects.
Your Responsibilities
- Deal Sourcing: Develop and manage a robust pipeline of acquisition candidates in alignment with Kiwa’s growth strategy. Maintain strong relationships with potential targets and engage with senior management to refine and prioritize opportunities.
- Project Management: Manage the entire M&A lifecycle, from target identification to deal closure, ensuring seamless integration with Kiwa’s operations.
- Coordination: Collaborate with local teams to oversee M&A processes, ensuring adherence to timelines and strategic objectives.
- Transaction Structuring: Work closely with legal, financial, and tax experts to design optimal transaction structures, including valuation, payment terms, and other deal components.
- Financial Modelling: Conduct detailed financial analyses, including DCF and multiples analysis, and other valuation methods, to support M&A decisions.
- Governance: Develop and enforce M&A guidelines, ensuring consistency and compliance throughout the process.
- Market Monitoring: Continuously track industry trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to identify potential opportunities and threats.
- Company Analysis: Perform thorough analyses of target companies, including financial projections, competitive positioning, and strategic fit.
- Strategic Insights: Utilize market research and data-driven insights to inform strategic decision-making and guide corporate actions.
- Opportunity Evaluation: Analyze market trends, identify potential partners, and assess the risks and rewards associated with various strategic options.
- Alignment: Ensure that M&A activities align with Kiwa Group’s long-term vision and strategic goals.
Do You Have What It Takes?
- Education: Master’s degree, preferably in Finance or Econometrics, or related fields.
- Experience: Minimum of 8 years’ experience in M&A, Corporate Finance advisory or Private equity with a proven track record of managing all sizes of M&A transactions. Experience with cross-border deals and many cultures is a plus.
- Skills: Strong financial modeling skills.
- Language: Fluent in English. Proficiency in Dutch, Spanish, German or French is a plus.
- Attributes: Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills, business acumen, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders. Must be proactive, adaptable, able to manage multiple projects, and thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. Hands-on. Thriving in multi-cultural settings.
- Mobility: Willingness and ability to travel internationally as needed.
