As an Operating Engineer specializing in crane operations for our offshore assets, you will be instrumental in ensuring the seamless management and maintenance of our cutting-edge 700 MW offshore converter stations. Your commitment to excellence in maintenance and safety will be vital in this role, where you will focus on:

  • Technical Leadership: Define the operational direction for crane maintenance, ensuring strict adherence to safety and quality standards while driving continuous improvement.
  • Project Oversight: Manage a portfolio of crane-related projects, prioritizing tasks based on risk assessments and financial considerations to ensure efficient resource allocation and execution.
  • Proactive Maintenance: Champion a culture of proactive maintenance, conducting routine monitoring and swiftly resolving operational issues to uphold the reliability and integrity of crane systems.
  • Comprehensive Maintenance Strategies: Develop and implement robust maintenance plans specifically designed for crane operations, ensuring that all activities are executed on time, well-documented, and aligned with operational needs.
  • Budget Accountability: Take charge of budgets for maintenance and repair activities, implementing cost-effective solutions while maintaining the highest standards of operational excellence.

Your profile and background

We are seeking a passionate and experienced engineer looking to make a significant impact in the offshore energy sector. As an Operating Engineer specializing in crane operations for our innovative 700 MW offshore converter stations, you will be an essential part of our dynamic team.

Your Profile:

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in offshore platforms or related fields.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of crane engineering, maintenance, and management.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with offshore regulatory conditions and maintenance management systems.
  • Leadership: Ability to lead teams and share knowledge in a multicultural environment.
  • Communication: Proficient in both Dutch and English, with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Proactivity: A proactive mindset to swiftly address operational challenges.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong focus on detail and care for accurate maintenance documentation.

This will be our challenge

Grid Field Operations is executing Field Operations, Maintenance and (Baseload) Projects. We ensure the integrity and safety of our assets entrusted to us, while also ensuring their maximum availability. We make sure that the onshore grids of TenneT is reliable in Germany and the Netherlands.
