Your contribution to TenneT

The HSE Business Partner Area West is the Single Point of Contact assigned to the Assets in the Dutch North Sea handling all HSE related activities. This includes among others safety and environment inspections, as well as active support for the business units in topics such as; incident management, and analysis and coordination of trainings.

  • acts as an HSE role model by following policies, strategies and company-wide HSE targets and support implementation to business
  • acts as a liaison and interface towards the business ensuring the business needs according to HSE Business Roadmap and objectives are achieved.
  • takes project specific autonomous decisions in their field of competence in line with HSE strategy.
  • (coordinates) active support of the business unit in all HSE-relevant matters (reporting and analysis of incident management, accident analysis, emergency preparedness, etc.)
  • has comprehensive knowledge in all HSE topics and actively requests and coordinates needed support by HSE Advisor(s).
  • ensures that the TenneT HSE policy and requirements are fulfilled by doing inspections, evaluations and adoptions adaptations onto the whole HSE system on all management levels and all functions within their area of responsibility.
  • support the business in creating HSE documentation files by giving input and checking those files (i.e. V&G dossier and V&G plan).
  • aligns with other HSE Business Partners on HSE relevant topics and to work towards standardized implementations on site.
  • Establish and maintain contact with authorities.
  • Participate in operational working groups to support the implementation of specific topics

Your profile and background

  • passionate regarding Safety, Health and Environment (HSE is in heart and mind)
  • HBO+, Bachelor+
  • formal HSE training is a must have: Nebosh, MVK/HVK or equivalent
  • experience enables the job holder to deal with the majority of situations and to advise others, with experience of coordinating the work of others
  • strategic thinker with hands-on mentality, grasp new concepts quickly
  • team player, contributing to the team cohesion
  • great communication skills in Dutch and English, both verbally and in writing

This will be our challenge

The department Health, Safety and Environment ensures and supports HSE compliance for the units Grid Field Operations and Large Projects based on TenneT guidelines and principles. Furthermore, the team supports establishing a top class safety culture and environment in which it is possible for everyone to go home safe every day.

  • The weekly working time is 32 - 40 hours per week
