Application Specialist Finance

To adapt to this environment, Vanderlande runs several programs that engage our core tools: ERP systems, surrounding applications, and integrations. Within this role, based in IT, you will advise, configure, and implement changes in our core tools following business roadmap programs. You will collaborate with business, IT specialists, IT architects, and implementation partners.

What will you be doing?

As an Application Specialist, you will be responsible for the preparation, design, setup, implementation, and support of our Finance applications, with a primary focus on JDEdwards. You will be at the forefront of integrating our Finance concepts into our Finance IT landscape. The applications are continuously improved through initiatives of varying scales.

Responsibilities

  • Translating business requirements into functional and technical specifications
  • Implementing configurations and customizations in Finance applications based on these requirements
  • Overseeing the implementation partner(s)
  • Conducting unit tests on new configurations and customizations
  • Guiding acceptance testing and training key users

In the position of Application Specialist, you will work closely with the Product Owner Finance Applications, Business Architects, and Subject Matter Experts to deliver solutions that align with business needs.

Your team

You will be part of the Finance Applications DevOps team, working on Vanderlande Finance applications, such as JDEdwards, Vena Fluence, and Tungsten. This team is part of the Application department in ICT, comprising approximately 100 employees dedicated to improving and supporting Vanderlande applications.

What do we ask from you?

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Business, or equivalent
  • A minimum of 5 years of work experience in IT
  • A team player who enjoys realizing new functionalities within teams
  • Experience and enthusiasm for troubleshooting technical issues and analyzing complex problems
  • Ability to manage several (sub) projects simultaneously
  • Commitment to high work quality
  • Experience in Maximo is a plus
  • Fluency in English (both spoken and written); fluency in Dutch is a plus

What we offer

This position offers a competitive salary range of €4,600 to €6,150 gross per month (excluding 8% holiday allowance). Exceptional performance may allow for growth beyond this scale.
